A: An emergency room treats conditions in need of immediate attention such as chest pain, dizziness, high fever and complex fractures, whereas an urgent care treats non-life threatening conditions such as influenza, colds, allergies and strep throat.

Q: Does Emergis offer emergency care and urgent care in the same facility?

A: Yes! We want to make it easy for you to access quality care for both urgent and emergent needs. Upon entering our facility, a board-certified physician will provide a no cost screening to determine the treatment required and if it is classified as Emergency or Urgent Care. Our staff will inform you of your financial responsibility before treatment.

 

Q: What happens if a patient requires a hospital stay?

A: Emergis has transfer agreements with major hospitals for direct access should any patient’s condition require hospital admission.

A: Yes! Our medical team has extensive training in pediatric medicine so you can be confident that your child will receive the appropriate care needed to treat the illness or injury.

 

Q: What type of insurance does Emergis ER & Urgent care accept?

Q: What if Emergis ER & Urgent Care is NOT in my insurance network?

A: As a resident of Texas, in the case of an EMERGENCY, all insurance carriers are required to pay “in network” fees for your emergency medical treatment, regardless of whether our emergency department is “in-network” or “out-of-network”. In the case of URGENT CARE, you will be responsible for your out-of-network benefits and fees.

 

Q: What if I do not have insurance?

A: If you do not have insurance, we offer competitive cash prices. Our professional billing team will work with you one-on-one to arrange a payment plan that fits your needs and budget.
